Here is a book I purchased specifically for Diva and her upcoming CM school year: For the Children’s Hour.
I first saw this book on amazon.com, but I hesitated in buying it initially as I wasn’t sure I really needed it, or that it would be just what I was looking for. However, I did [...]

It’s late July and that means one thing in the online world of homeschooling – blog and message board postings crammed full of planning for a new school year! They are all over wordpress, blogger, blogspot and even myspace. Goodness! All this talk of planning has me fired up to plan our [...]

We got our economic stimulus check yesterday and I took the opportunity to order the books and curriculum I need for next year. However, even though that money is a surprise bonus (and I easily could have gotten carried away), I stayed frugal and only ordered what I really needed. I really, really [...]

So, my week long internet hiatus is at an end. I have so much to share, but not enough time to share it in at the moment. I will probably be blogging my thoughts on my “unplugged” week here rather than myspace, but I am not sure when I will get to it.
Our homeschool is [...]

I am so proud at this very moment I am practically bursting. About 20 minutes ago, I asked the kids to come and clean up the playroom. As they were getting started, I asked them if they would like any music to clean by.
Diva piped right up and said : “Handel Water Music! [...]

Here is the small conversation from this morning, as I walked upstairs to wake the kids-
Me: Good morning! Time to get up and get busy.
Diva: I am already up! I’m getting dressed now.
Monkey: Hi mommy!
Super-boy: *groan*
Me: Hi Monkey. Thank you Diva. C’mon Super-boy. We have Shakespeare today!
All: YAY!!!
And they come [...]

Doing this:
These are Monkey’s first beads, and I think her first time with more than pigtail braids. The irony of my three year old with my hair texture, asking for braids and beads and then sitting for nearly two hours while I do it, is not lost on me. Where is my almost five year [...]

This is just a general update post. Nothing fancy or well thought out. No statements or deep thoughts. I am way, way too tired for deep thoughts anyway.
“School” is trucking right along as planned. We have fun, but busy mornings, followed by free afternoons outdoors just like Charlotte would have wanted [...]

I can say with certainty that Little Miss Diva (age 4) is an original!
