We live on a fairly tight budget all the time, but in an economy like this, we really have to stretch our dollars even farther. That means eating out is one of the first things to go (and we don’t eat out often anyway). So, what do you do when you are just desperate for food from your favorite restaurant? Answer: you learn to make it yourself.
My hubby and I absolutely *love* hot wings from a certain “notorious” restaurant. They are breaded and delicious and oh-so-yummy. Yes, I eat at this particular establishment from time to time. You can make whatever you want from that. :-P
Last week we were just desperate for some of these particular hot wings, and thankfully I had picked up a couple of packages of wings from the grocery store for a really good price. But, I had no idea how to make wings as good as the ones at that “owl restaurant” (you know which one!). So I did what any respectable, wing-craving wife would do: I looked it up.
I found this recipe, and I am sharing because these wings were so good (SO GOOD), we almost licked the plate when we were done with them. Hubby and I didn’t even want to share them. I am telling you right now, it was almost a throw down for hot wings. They were THAT good.
I am too lazy to type up all the ingredients, you can exercise your fingers by clicking and printing it yourself. But I do have pictures to make you hungry for wings. Try it, and I promise you will not be disappointed. You can make them as hot or mild as you like depending on the hotness of your hot sauce and the amount of cayenne pepper you add.

Bread ‘em and refrigerate for an hour.

Fry ‘em up! Mmmm….oil!

You know they look good!

Heat the secret sauce.

Put those babies in a bowl…

Sauce ‘em up…

and ENJOY! *slurp*
Those look so good! I seriously wanted wings over the weekend but my darling husband didn’t pick up on my ‘subtle’ hints. Looks like I’m going to have to try them. Maybe they’ll be a “hoot” here.
Those do look good! I find that trying to imitate your favorite restaurant can be better than actually going there. It’s like once you make a favorite recipe that is as good or BETTER, then you can skip the wait time, so-so service, hefty prices, and have a nice, enjoyable dinner at home.
mmm! My stomach is growling now. That looks so good and I just started my diet. Oh the torture!
