The kids got up today and finished all their school work bright and early. This is the 2nd time in a row they have been up, motivated and totally finished by 10:00! Perhaps they have finally realized my wisdom when I say it’s better to get your work done early and then play, rather than to drag the work out all day L-O-N-G.
Anyway, we are completely water logged (rain, rain, go away!), and they are really struggling to fight off boredom. They have played games, built sheet forts, colored and nearly driven me crazy. So, I pulled out some puzzles and they decided on the United States Map. Gee, I love it when they choose educational toys without me asking them to!
I was amazed at how quickly the three of them got it done! They might not have memorized all the states and capital cities yet, but they sure know more of them than they did before they started. I guess I need to start shopping for more puzzles because they really enjoyed this.

Wow – go kiddos!! You know, they may not be educational but the dollar store has quite a few puzzles and as you guessed: they are only a dollar. My kids absolutely love puzzles (especially Kai and he is surprisingly good at them) so I get them whenever I hit a dollar store since they are usually different at each place.
Tell your cuties that I think they are brilliant to figure out the early bird thing so young. They’re so cute, I could kiss them all right now. Great teaching Mom!
