As promised, the art my kids produced after I taught a co-op class about Wassily Kandinsky. He is one of my favorite artists, and I thought his art would be good for even the youngest children (2 & 3) to get busy with.
All of the art is crayon and watercolors on construction paper. (The low budget version, but real water color paper, water colors and oil pastels would be amazing!)
Super-boy’s painting: all white crayon and stepping a little into Pollock with some paint flinging.
Diva’s take on “Squares with Concentric Rings.”
Monkey goes very abstract, and very colorful. All Monkey!

I love those! It’s great how free to create children are. I struggled all through high school and college to create stuff that good–and never did.

Hi,
I just found your blog & am having a great time! I just had to respond to this. My 3 (now almost 4) yo boy just loves Kandinsky….He seems to really relate to the art. Your kids have inspired me to take the leap to the next level with my ds with paint!!!
