Spring Cleaning Checklist

cleaning-blahs.jpg

I have a few things that I want to get accomplished over “spring break.” I decided this morning it will have to be two weeks because there is only one of me, and many, many things that need done.

1.  Clean all the windows, inside and out

2.  Clean my MIL’s stuff in the kitchen cupboards, organize it, and make more room for things like my crock pot

3.  Remove all the old harvest gold blinds, and either buy new blinds, or some curtains

4.  Get my room back into tip-top shape (it needs serious help!)

5.  Clean out, organize and paint the laundry room

6.  Get the wallpaper border off the girls’ walls

7.  Get the wall paper backing off the hallway/stairs and prime the walls there and in the entry

8.  Paint the girls room

9.  Make a plan for painting the entry/hallway/stairs (MIL needs to choose a color already!)

10.  Clean the bathroom ceiling, repair the hole, possibly replace the fan

11.  Clean or replace all the filters/vents

12.  Get all the leaves bagged and off with the trash man

13.  Weed the flower beds

14.  Clean the siding, repair & clean the gutters

15.  Trim shrubbery and remove some old stumps

The kids will be helping as much as they can, and a few of the jobs are for Lonnie as well. Plus, my friend Charlene has offered to come over and help out with painting or whatever else I need help with. I am not sure if I can get it all done, but I know I can’t do it while sitting here blogging – so let me snap on my yellow rubber gloves, and off I go!

  1. Goodness what an ambitious list. Its nice your friend offered to help. I have a bathroom that needs painted and I just dont feel like it! Maybe over the summer break!

  2. What a list! You don’t like harvest gold???? It’s so 1970’s! *wink* Please tell me that you plan to keep the butterflies in the bathroom. Jenna loves them.

You have a lot to do girlie! Good luck. I don’t think I could accomplish your list in a month or two.

  3. Wow, that certainly IS an ambitious list! I really need to clean our windows…one of these days. Good luck on getting through your list!

  4. Wooooot!! Good luck honey!! That seriously could have been MY checklist, hole in the bathroom ceiling and all…. uncanny. Perhaps it is someone telling me to get off my duff as well! XOXOXO

  5. Good luck! You can DO IT!

  6. A “few things”? That is more than a few! Good luck with it all. Maybe I should go work on my checklist as well. My problem is I spend more time making lists than actually completing anything. You can do it – and will feel so great when you do!!!

  7. Hey hey hey! Today is weigh in!

  8. Good luck in getting everything done!

I have so much to do that if I wrote a list, it would scare me! Haha. I’ll rather believe it doesn’t exist. Ha!

  9. Dang! Harvest gold blinds?? ew. Must have been like our kitchen which was a LOVELY avacado green! (blick)

So how much did you get done? I am in awe of your energy… sigh…

P.S. My kids LOVED Henry and Mudge! I think we read every single one. Another great series – hard to find because they are so old – are all of the Esther Averill books which feature cats as the main characters. :)
