Have any of you seen “V for Vendetta?” It’s really an excellent movie about a once free nation (future UK), that is now cowering under tyranny and oppression, and one man standing alone against that tyranny to bring about change. It’s a fictional movie, but how close to true is it becoming in our own home? The Patriot Act, undeclared wars, an administration that daily chips away at our CONSTITUTIONAL liberties? We are quickly approaching the time when the US will no longer be the US. I believe our forefathers and the founders of our great nation would be ashamed of what we have become. As Benjamin Franklin said: “Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety”
This November 5th, there is a push for 100,000 people to donate $100 to the Ron Paul campaign. This will give him the much needed money to compete with the big contenders in the primary elections. Ron Paul is the champion of the Constitution and everything we hold dear in this country. He speaks of truth that we have turned away from for so long, we can’t even see the truth anymore.
I urge those of you who are supporting Ron Paul to join this cause. I am going to be having a yard sale and finding as many ways as I can to get that $100 donation to him. It will make a stand. It will set a precedent. It will tell people we are serious about freedom, about liberty and about the law that governs our land; the Constitution of the United States of America. Liberty unites us, fear divides us. I have chosen to embrace the motto “Give me liberty, or give me death.” As a former US Army soldier, I mean it.
